Although the general placement of Adam and Eve in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artic.edu\/collection?q=adam+and+eve&artist_ids=Lucas+Cranach%2C+the+Elder\">these paintings<\/a> reflects the influence of Albrecht D\u00fcrer's renowned classicizing treatment of the same subject in paintings and prints, Cranach's slender, undulating figures conform to the contemporary courtly ideals of beauty.
